Teaching High School Science

Goodbye Airwaves, Hello Video Lessons

Kesha "Doc" Williams Episode 35

Send us a text

In today’s short but important episode, I’m sharing an exciting shift in how I’ll be supporting students, parents, and teachers moving forward. After many requests, and seeing how impactful my video lessons have become, I’m stepping away from the podcast to focus more on creating the kind of visual, hands-on learning tools that truly help concepts stick.

You’ll now find me more often on YouTube, in my blog, and inside my brand-new Patreon membership, where I’ll be sharing clear, structured lessons, practice worksheets, and review tools for chemistry and AP Chemistry (with physics on the way!).

This isn’t goodbye! Just a shift in where and how I’ll show up to support you and your teen.

Speaker 1:

Today's episode comes with some exciting, yet bittersweet news, so join me as I share the change I'm making based off a lot of requests, but in a way that's going to help me to support you in a more direct and hands-on way. Welcome to Teaching High School Science. I'm your host, doc, a former biochemist turned high school science teacher and private tutor. Whether you're homeschooling your team through high school science or teaching online, join me as I share tips and strategies I've learned over the years for at home and online labs and activities, breaking down complex concepts and structuring learning in a way that makes sense. Now let's dive into today's topics. Thank you so much for being a part of this podcast journey. It has been such a gift to connect with parents, homeschoolers and fellow educators to share the tools and strategies that make science just a bit more doable.

Speaker 1:

But over the past year, I've been asked more and more to create video lessons on specific topics, and those videos have taken off. They're now being used by students for review, by parents for support and even by teachers in their classrooms. So I'm leaning into that. I'm shifting my time toward creating more focused visual science content. That means you'll see me more on YouTube and in my blog, where I'll continue helping students to understand chemistry and physics and AP chemistry and all of that fun science in a way that actually sticks.

Speaker 1:

And to better organize this support, I'm launching a Patreon membership, which is a central place where students can access organized video lessons, practice worksheets with answer keys for both chemistry and AP chemistry for now, with physics coming later. Consider this your growing science vault. So while this is goodbye for the podcast, it's definitely not goodbye overall. I'm still here supporting you and your team, just in a more hands-on way where I can teach and support more directly. Thank you for listening, thank you for sharing and I'll see you soon in YouTube, patreon or thesciencementorcom. Until next time, remember, curiosity leads to endless possibilities.
